WET System Requirements

The WET infrastructure is composed of modified versions of two existing software tools: Valgrind 2.2.0 and Diablo 0.3. Note that WET is based on older versions of these respective tools. To install WET, the environment must be compatible with these older tool versions. Therefore, in general WET may not run in newer environments such as a 64-bit operating system or with versions of glibc greater than 2.3.

Processor requirements: WET requires a 32-bit x86 architecture. If you have a 64-bit machine, you must install a 32-bit operating system in order to use WET.

Operating system requirements: We have tested WET on CentOS 4 running the Linux 2.6.9 kernel. We believe WET should work on any Linux distribution with kernel 2.4 or 2.6 and glibc 2.2.X or 2.3.X.
